As a final blow (the reader needs resilience!), the book nowhere claims that good castings are
easily achieved. As was already mentioned in the Preface, the casting process is among the most
complex of all engineering production systems. We currently need all the possible assistance to our
understanding to solve the problems to achieve adequate products.
